How do hoverkarts work?

The hoverkart attachment turns your hoverboard into a go-kart,. The seat is supported by a metal frame and the hand operated control sticks are attached to the foot sensors on the hoverboard by a strap. So, rather than manoeuvre using your body weight via the footpads, you do so using the levers.

How to ride a hoverkart

Riding a hoverkart is easy and it’s much more stable than riding the board standing up. There’s no need to find your balance, because the seat and the hoverkart frame make it a stable ride.

You lift both handles to go backwards and push them down to go forwards.

The rider turns left by leaving the left handle in position and pushing down the right handle – they do the opposite to turn right, i.e leave the right handle in position and push down on the left.

To accelerate, you push the handles down and to slow down and brake, you pull them back.

Safety and maintenance

It is wise to wear a helmet and gloves while riding a hoverkart. Don’t ride too quickly or make sudden turns and try and avoid steep slopes. And avoid areas where there are other vehicles – remember, you aren’t allowed to ride a hoverboard or hoverkart on public roads.
